Thru Jerusalem
Kutiman takes us on a stroll through the sound of Jerusalem with a track commissioned by the Jerusalem Season of Culture 2011. In a departure from his usual YouTube mashups, ‘Thru Jerusalem’ is built out of face-to-face encounters with local musicians – everything from darbuka and kanun to turntables and tuba. The track has that dreamy quality Kutiman brings to all his work, and is a tribute to the city’s diverse musical heritage - past, present and future.
